Unfortunately, work gets in the way, I won't be able to visit China as scheduled =(
Hopefully by January next year, in time for the Harbin Ice Festival (looking at the positive side).
But of course I don't want the year to end without another out of the country trip. Since it would be impossible to visit China, I decided to explore Macau and a little side trip to HK instead! And now i'm excited.. I'm planning to go skyjumping. Still preparing myself for it, I hope i'll have the courage when it's time for me to jump off the Macau's tower.

ON WIFI

i had a difficult time thinking if i'm going to buy a wireless router. anyway, i finally decided and now i can connect in the world wide web inside my room.. and sleep until wee hours in the morning LOL =D
.. i can watch youtube endlessly .. and i can't wake up early tom am for work =D

harry potter

i am an avid fan of harry potter.. but i didn't buy my book because i know i'll find all the answers in the internet few hours after if is available in the market. and true enough.. now i know that harry did not die.. but snape did.. and snape is truly madly in love with harry potter's mom.. now, i'm glad i did not buy the book yet. i'll just wait for the 7-book pack, since i didn't also buy books 5 and 6. i'll be saving a lot =)

I'm just so excited waiting for the semi-finals of French Open '07 .. Big names in women's tennis - Henin vs Jankovic and Sharapova vs Ivanovic!!!

And of course waiting for the men's final as well ... Federer vs Nadal ... I think ..

my next destination

My friend is going crazy because PAL is offering very cheap fares to SEA countries. Now, my next destination is supposed to be China, this December. But then the traveller in me can't stay put and I decided to join her in her next adventure. It's been my dream to see Ha Long Bay, but it's quite far and no direct flight from the Philippines. With the help of internet (haha), I was able to find a cheaper route: Mla-Sing-Hanoi-Sing-Mla. I can use my one-way reward ticket that's going to expire this year and i'd be able to visit my dream destination. Yipee!! I can't wait for September... I'm ready to go backpacking again. My reward for working too hard!

Another bad day..

Bad luck seems to be following me around!!
I watched Spiderman 3 yesterday, great effects. I usually don't carry a bag with me because??? I actually don't know the reason. hehehe
Anyways while I was in the comfort room, I placed my "new cellular phone" inside my pants' pocket.. And guess what???!!! It fell inside the toilet bowl... Now my first reaction? I don't want to get it, hehe... Then after I got the courage to get it, i washed it with water!!! So stupid of me!! hehehe After cleaning it with water, I removed the battery and dried it in the drier inside the comfort room ...
Well, well, well... Finally this morning when I turned it on, it was okey ... =)
Now this is what i'm hoping for. It's the beginning of the month, I hope nothing else happends this month...

This has been a bad year for me. It didn't start right, something not good have been happening every month. A couple hours ago, my cellular phone got snatched. I was opening my car and he grabbed my phone. I was so shocked that all I did was called my friend who was parked a couple of meters away from me. She responded better than I did, shouted "snatcher". The watchers were kind enough to go after the suspect, unfortunately he was such a good runner, was able to turn around towards me. I almost blocked him. But then I was aware that these people carry knives with them, I let him go, a cell phone is not worth my life. The guys on the other side of the street were not that helpful, they could have stopped the snatcher but no one dared to blocked him (maybe they have the same reason as I do).
A tricycad driver was kind enough to go to the nearby police station. As I collected my thoughts, me and my friend went to the station to have the incident blottered. Was I impressed by the way the officers handled my complain? NO!! I have heard so many reports that some police knows these people, even protecting them to some extent. One police even adviced me to text the snatcher, asking him to return the memory card, since this is very important to me!! And the same police told me that I am earning good money, I can buy another phone!!
Now what can I do??? Hope that there are better police in that Station, someone who can change my mind that police are good people too.. I want my phone back!!! Huhuhu

Belated Happy Easter

A few days later, I decided to write about my Easter. It feels good to make other people happy, seeing them smile makes my day. Me and my family went out of our way to celebrate Easter with a less-fortunate community. Egg-hunting activity for the kids, with matching old toys from my nephew and neices as prizes and a volleyball tournament for mothers - grand prize: Rice and grocery items. I wish we can do this more often, not just christmas and easter. And I hope more family will do this too.. Inspiring =)

my recent adventure

Now, i don't know how to describe my recent trip to yogyakarta. It's been my dream to see the Borobudur temples, finally I saw it. It was huge, really beautiful, everything I imagined. I wanted to see the sun set behind it but suddenly, sky started to turn grey, rain starts to fall ..
At least at Prambanan temple complex, it was bright and sunny and very hot.. Result = sunburn!
People in Yogya are very friendly, special mention to Yatti, receptionist/everything else in our hotel. Our tourist guide and driver (both are muslim) were very warm too. They don't take advantage of tourists.

disappointed over tennis matches

I'm a tennis fanatic, although I wasn't able to play for a couple months now =(. I may not be able to watch every single game, but I keep myself updated by checking updates on the net. And I was sooo disappointed this morning when I saw that history is repeating itself! Last tournament (Indian Wells), both top seeds (Federer and Sharapova)didn't make it to the finals!! And now, Federer was beated by Canas, the same guy who beat him @ Indian Wells and the only player who won against him this year!Sharapova made a bad exit! S. Williams had a tremendious game!!! It was S. Williams who snatched the Australian Open trophy away from her last January.. The score isn't good to look at either: 6-1;6-1.
To Sharapova: You just lost your number 1 ranking, didn't reached the quarterfinals of your last two matches .. I think you need to spend more time on the practice court.. I'm sure you don't want to be another pretty blonde tennis player. You have two grand slams under your belt, go get some more ...

my first post ..

I finally decided that it is better to write my thoughts down and see what other people thinks about it. My birthday just ended .. It was such a difficult year for me and my family, that is why I decided not to have a huge celebration. A simple dinner with may close family members completed my day... AND that made me happy =)

My greatest happiness in life besides my family is travelling and this month, my birth month, I decided to treat myself... Started the month going back to Malaysia and Bangkok, with my sis and my good friends... And will be ending it going back to Indonesia, this time to visit Jakarta and Yogyakarta(one of my dream destination) with my travel buddy whom I will be missing because he will be moving to Dubai mid of April =( Now, it's time to search for another travel buddy ..Anyone interested? ;)

This is also the month wherein I wasn't able to work for more than 15 days !!!!! How nice it is to wake up, turn the tv on, eat when you feel like it, search the net for the next possible travel destination ... With sooo much time in my hands, I was so into Big Brother (the tv show)!!! haha!! This is something I didn't see myself getting into .. All because I have !yikes! chicken pox.. =(

Now, I'm back in action.. Free from chicken pox and getting ready for may next destination...
Since i'm in new in this stuff, i'm kinda getting the hang of it.. and liking it, i think ; )
